For the past several Springs, I've wanted to do a design with a May Basket. It is a lingering memory of childhood: the delight in picking Spring flowers for a basket (made in school out of paper), and choosing so very carefully the door on which to hang it.

I don't know when the May Basket tradition died out, but I'm all for reviving it!
