I love the colors (rich reds, purples complimented by golds and greens) of this design. The threads are silk so it has such a lovely feel as you stitch. The motifs are very Elizabethan in nature - floral and interlocking bands. It has a wonderful sterling silver Elizabethan glove as an embellishment and it reminded me of Elizabeth I and the long fingers she was so proud of. While visiting England, I saw a pair of gloves which were supposedly hers and this charm has always reminded me of those gloves, so finely stitched.
