Several years ago I purchased a small wooden table clamp, reportedly to have once belonged to Queen Charlotte. I was intrigued by the idea of perhaps creating a sampler around a miniature silver clamp, knowing that the largest trade market for cross stitch was held each year in Charlotte, NC and most importantly that the city Charlotte had been named for Queen Charlotte. I think the colors in this design are lovely and the more I stitched on the piece, the prettier it seemed to become - wonderful shades of Periwinkle and a beautiful dusty Rose, balanced with a olive green.

I hope stitchers will enjoy this design as much as I do!
